Christian
Delâge (Montlouis-sur-Loire, 1946) spent his childhood in
Morocco where he first came into contact with horses. Back in
France, he took riding lessons at Maisons-Laffitte and combined
competing and racing with studying for an Arts degree.
Trained by Marcel Rozier, he embarked on a show jumping career,
cut short by an accident.
He then started to train racing horses, first at Maisons-Laffite,
and later at Anjou.
At
present, Delâge lives in Normandy. He presents equestrian
events (sports, breeding, shows) besides working as a journalist,
first for L’éperon and then for Sports
équestres. This
seasonal activity leaves him time to write (songs, plays, short
stories, novels).
His
first book, Fou
du Roi, came out in 2005,
published by Éditions du Rocher who have also published, in February 2007, his second novel La dernière ligne droite.
In 2008, Delâge finished Manière
douce, the first volume of adventures of Régis Folio.
He is now working on the second volume, untitled Swanee.
