Fran Ortega

Fran Ortega was born in Madrid in 1965. At the age of 19 he left home to become an aircraft maintenance technician, a job he has worked in ever since in cities around Spain.

On top of his aircraft training, Ortega has dabbled in neurolinguistic programming and divining, clowning techniques and acting, besides writing film scripts.

An inveterate traveller, he has been all over the world, from Indonesia where he did voluntary work after the tsunami, to Peru, his favourite place for getting back to Mother Earth, with a long list of places in between.

But Ortega is most at home in the world of fantasy, whether he is conjuring up imaginary worlds with pen and paper or acting in an amateur drama group.

He is the author of Judas. Domine proditore in inferno damnatus (Grand Guignol Ediciones, June 2006), the novel which anticipated the recent revelations about The Gospel of Judas.

At present he is working on another novel and a set of short stories.
